The Opportunity

One Tech Engineering is searching for an E&C Engineer for a position located in Denver, Colorado.

The E&C Engineer will support a variety of large-scale generation facilities and manage projects from initiation through planning, design, construction and closeout.

The role coordinates contractors, monitors contractor performance and safety compliance, manages project schedules and forecasts, and works closely with plant and engineering stakeholders throughout project delivery.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens or green card holders and should have five to seven years of engineering and/or project management experience in utility generation, oil and gas refining, manufacturing or another large industrial environment.

Position Overview

This role combines generation engineering, project management, contractor coordination, forecasting, safety compliance, lockout/tagout processes and cross-functional plant operations support across the complete project lifecycle.

E&C Engineer Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from initiation through planning, design, construction and closeout while ensuring delivery within approved scope, schedule and budget.
  • Attend Plan of Day meetings and update project lead sheets and forecasts.
  • Coordinate and source contractors, oversee contractor performance and safety compliance, and manage lockout/tagout and other safety processes.
  • Plan and execute projects while providing regular project status updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with operations managers, plant reliability engineers, plant directors, project managers, engineers and plant operations teams to support successful project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental or Electrical Engineering.
  • Five to seven years of engineering and/or project management experience in utility generation, oil and gas refining, manufacturing or another large industrial environment.
  • Experience with SAP, Power BI, Maximo or similar work management systems.
  • Strong communication, organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Project Management Professional, Lean Six Sigma or equivalent project or process improvement certifications are preferred.
