E&C Engineer

One Tech Engineering is searching for an E&C Engineer for a position located near Earth, Texas.

The E&C Engineer will oversee and contribute to large-scale renewable generation projects, including solar and wind projects.

The position provides electrical engineering expertise through drawing review, technical submittal evaluation, RFI management, NCR resolution, contract-scope interpretation and field construction support.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens or green card holders and should have at least three years of electrical engineering experience, including two to three years specifically supporting renewable generation projects.

E&C Engineer Responsibilities

• Provide electrical engineering expertise with a primary focus on reviewing project drawings, evaluating technical submittals and managing Requests for Information.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors and project stakeholders to clearly define project requirements and address technical questions through submittals and RFIs.
• Review engineering drawings, studies, calculations and technical analyses for compliance with project specifications, design requirements and industry standards.
• Identify and communicate variances from company master specifications and coordinate internal approvals with engineering teams.
• Support field construction activities by answering electrical engineering questions, clarifying design intent and assisting with technical troubleshooting.
• Interpret engineering and construction drawings to verify installation aligns with approved design documents.
• Review, resolve and manage Requests for Information, Non-Conformance Reports and other technical issues during execution.
• Monitor construction compliance with engineering designs, contract requirements and project specifications.
• Work with project engineers and cross-functional teams throughout planning, design review, construction and commissioning.
• Provide both office-based engineering review and field-based construction support as project needs require.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Three or more years of electrical engineering experience.
• Two to three years specifically within renewable generation projects through construction or engineering design.
• Previous experience working with utilities, EPC contractors or engineering and design firms supporting renewable energy projects.
• Familiarity with Non-Conformance Reports, Requests for Information and contract scope interpretation and management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with ProjectWise, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam and Procore is preferred.
• SAP experience is considered a plus.
• Professional Engineer licensure or Engineer-in-Training certification is preferred.
