Apply NowOne Tech Engineering is searching for a Substation Construction Inspector for a position located in Amarillo, Texas.
The Substation Construction Inspector will verify that work performed by the prime construction contractor complies with company construction standards and engineering drawings.
The role requires regular field observation, accurate documentation of design changes and effective communication with responsible project stakeholders throughout construction.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens or green card holders and must have at least five years of substation construction experience.
This role combines substation construction inspection, quality verification, field-change documentation, material compliance and direct communication with project stakeholders.
At least five years of direct substation construction experience supporting field execution.
Ability to inspect contractor work against engineering drawings, standards and project specifications.
Previous Journeyman or Substation Electrician experience is considered an advantage.
Strong written and verbal communication for documenting field conditions and coordinating project updates.
Verify contractor work follows company specifications, standards and approved engineering documentation.
Compare field installation against engineering prints and identify deviations requiring attention.
Confirm that contractors install approved materials in the correct locations on the project.
Capture construction-driven design changes and maintain accurate project documentation.
Communicate observations and project information to responsible company stakeholders.
Help protect company equipment, materials and customers during construction activities.
