Construction Supervisor

One Tech Engineering is searching for a Construction Supervisor for a position located in Becker, Minnesota.

The Construction Supervisor will be responsible for construction and commissioning of high-voltage substations associated with a solar project.

The position coordinates transmission installation, substation construction, execution planning, commissioning planning and contractor activities while supporting project leadership and field teams.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens or green card holders and must have five to seven years of previous high-voltage electrical experience or background.

Construction Supervisor Responsibilities

• Participate in communication and planning for installation and commissioning of the entire substation.
• Participate in coordination meetings involving transmission installation and substation construction.
• Conduct research, planning and review of execution plans and commissioning plans.
• Remain onsite to verify contractors execute installations in accordance with project plans.
• Work with executive or upper-level site management as well as the contractor site construction team.
• Manage the project lifecycle from project definition through implementation.
• Maintain accountability for agreed scope, cost, schedule and quality measures.
• Develop the project plan and drive project milestones.
• Establish an effective communication plan with the project team and key stakeholders.
• Provide day-to-day direction to project resources and ensure project teams have the support required to achieve defined objectives.
• Ensure effective change management throughout project execution.
• Prepare project documentation and status reports.

Requirements

• Five to seven years of previous high-voltage electrical experience or background.
• Knowledge of high-voltage electricity, substations, transmission lines and their associated components.
• Experience with installation and commissioning of high-voltage subyards.
• Experience with Adobe Pro and Procore or PMWeb for project communication.
• Proficiency with SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills.
